Welcome to this tutorial on using Moodle for high school students. Moodle is a powerful Learning Management System that allows you to access your courses, submit assignments, participate in discussions, and stay connected with your teachers and classmates from anywhere with an internet connection.
To log into Moodle, first navigate to your school's Moodle website. You'll see a login form where you need to enter your username and password. Your school will provide these credentials. Type your username in the first field, then your password in the second field. Click the login button to access your courses.
Once you're logged in, you'll see your Moodle dashboard. The dashboard is organized with a navigation bar at the top, a sidebar on the left with menu options like My courses, Calendar, Messages, and Grades, and the main content area showing your enrolled courses. Each course appears as a card with its name and color. Red notification dots indicate new activities or assignments.
Inside a course, content is organized by topics or weeks. Each section contains various resources like PDF files, videos, and interactive activities. You'll see different icons for different types of content - red for documents, green for activities, and orange for assignments. Pay attention to due dates and red indicators that show urgent deadlines.
To submit an assignment, first click on the assignment link from your course page. You'll see the assignment details including the due date in red. Read the instructions carefully, then use the upload area to drag and drop your file or click to browse. Once your file is uploaded, you'll see it listed with a green indicator. Finally, click the submit button to complete your submission. You'll receive a confirmation message when successful.
