Hello little friends! Today we're going to learn about something super cool called the Water Cycle! Water goes on an amazing adventure, traveling around and around our Earth like a big circle. Let's discover how water moves from the ocean to the sky and back again!
Now let's see the first step of the water cycle called evaporation! The bright sun acts like a giant heater in the sky. When the sun's warm rays shine down on oceans, lakes, and rivers, something magical happens! The water gets warmer and warmer, and tiny invisible pieces of water called water vapor start floating up into the air. We can't see them, but they're there!
Now comes the second step called condensation! As the invisible water vapor rises higher and higher into the sky, something cool happens. Up there, it's much colder than down here on the ground. When the water vapor gets cold, it changes back into tiny water droplets. These little droplets bump into each other and stick together, forming beautiful fluffy clouds in the sky!
Here comes the third step called precipitation! When the clouds get bigger and heavier with more and more water droplets, something amazing happens. The clouds become so full that they can't hold all the water anymore! So the water falls down from the sky as rain drops, or sometimes as snow flakes, or even hail! The water comes back down to Earth and makes puddles on the ground!
Congratulations little scientists! Now you understand the amazing water cycle! Remember the three important steps: First, evaporation when the sun heats up water and it becomes invisible vapor. Second, condensation when the vapor gets cold and forms fluffy clouds. And third, precipitation when the heavy clouds drop rain back to Earth! This cycle goes around and around forever, and water never disappears - it just keeps traveling on its wonderful journey around our planet!
