Hello! Today we'll learn about future tense. Future tense is a special way we talk about things that haven't happened yet, but will happen later. Just like time moves forward from past to present to future, we use special words to talk about future events.
The secret to making future tense is using the magic word "WILL"! When we want to talk about something that will happen later, we put the word "will" right before the action word. This is our special formula: WILL plus the action word equals future tense!
Let's look at some examples! When we say "I play", we can change it to "I will play" for future tense. "She eats" becomes "She will eat". And "We go" becomes "We will go". See how we just add the word "will" before the action word? That's all there is to it!
When we use future tense, we often add time words to show exactly when something will happen. Words like "tomorrow", "later", "next week", "soon", "tonight", and "next year" help us be more specific about the future. For example: "I will play tomorrow" or "We will go next week". These time words make our sentences clearer!
Great job learning about future tense! Remember the simple rule: WILL plus the action word equals future tense. Now you can talk about things that will happen later! You will read books, you will have fun, you will help others, and you will learn many new things. Keep practicing and you will become great at using future tense!
